About Marshall

About Me:

I’m husband to a wonderful wife ( totally married up :)), father to a 7 year old aspiring ninja and a 2 year old who is eating us out of house and home ( we call him “lunchbox”). I’m a serial web entrepreneur living in Orange, CA. I’ve been able to build a life independent of the 9-5 grind and completely financially viable where I am able to spend as much time as I can with my family. My goal is to help others figure out how to do the same. In order to do this I document what has worked for me, research what works for others and try to make it as easy as possible for you to take action.

I love to personally connect so drop me a line at Marshall@MovingMountains.co and introduce yourself. Big Things!

A Little More About Me:

I hate bios because they make people feel so untouchable. The truth is I’m just like you and everyone else trying to figure this life out. I grew up a humble pastors kid in upstate NY (Ithaca). I was a B/C average student with serious A.D.H.D and very distracted. After high school, I needed to get out so I drove to Southern California from NY with a guitar and one set of clothes. I had no idea what I was getting into.

I sold my first internet company for seven figures at the age of 28. You wouldn’t have known that only three and a half years prior I had just practically come off losing everything – cars repossessed, debt collectors knocking down my door, audited by the IRS owing lots of money and I almost didn’t make it through my first year of marriage. I was on a destructive path to nowhere. I was failing big time. In one of those lonely desperate moments I made a pact with God to change the course of my life and never looked back.

My Life Purpose (Updated 7/25/2016):

The purpose of my life is to be an electric source of joy and love, to enjoy and build high impact authentic relationships and to do seemingly impossible things that make the world a better place for myself, my family and others.

  1. Thank you Marshall for your service to our country! That about all else means a lot to me! I am so happy that you were able to turn your life around.

I am a wife, mother, step mother, and grandmother (10 grand children, 8 girls and 2 boys)! Two of them are married, 2 in college, 1 about to be married, two in high school, and the rest are down to age 2. Boy do they keep me busy!

I am a Paramedic from Atlanta, GA. where I worked for almost 30 years. Until a back injury completely sidelined me a few years ago. I am disabled now at age 64, so I am trying my best to create an online business that will help give us a little more security.

Thanks for having such a positive blog, I love reading what you have to say!

    Sassy “MiMi” Sandy Sue

  2. Saw your ad on Craigslist wish I had a car I would have loved to apply. I think your positive view of the world is wonderful. You sound like a great boss. Keep up the good work and always put the family first.

  3. Wow….Marshall! Totally want to be your friend. I have been on the same mission in the past year. I was let go in MAY 2016, from a job I felt I would retire from for sure. God didn’t see it that way for my life. And I have been on a rebirth journey every since. When I saw your blog I was totally attracted to it. Because I realized there are others that have the same goals about life that I do. I wanted to thank you for allowing me into your world of positivity and hope that we can promote each other. I know this is not the place to pour it all out, so I won’t too much, but just wanted to respond back to your email. Until the next time….Be blessed!!

  4. I stumbled upon your blog post on Pintrist. I am glad I did. I notice first the name of your blog. I love it. It drew me in. Then I checked out your blog. Your bio hit me between the eyes. Our stories of loss are much a like. I had a business that I shut down in 2010. I lost my house cars and business and had to file bankruptcy. My family was homeless for nearly two years and I too almost lost my wife and 3 boys. Only by the grace of God did I not. I now have a website called Word Dependent. I write a blog and try to post videos regularly. Almost no one views it but I press on because I enjoy it and I believe God called me to it.
Right now I work a day job that I hate and because of past experience am afraid to step out again to start a new business. Your bio was inspiring to me and encouraged me to move forward towards my goals and dreams. Thank you!
